Malay Mail quoted state Executive Councillor Elizabeth Wong as saying that Putrajaya had the authority to begin construction despite the outcome of Selangor’s discussions with Damansara Perdana residents on the alignment of the last mile.
“The highway has been approved from the Shah Alam side. The dispute is literally with the last mile.
“This is a federal project. So when they start is up to them. They want to start construction, they can start in Shah Alam first. They can start in other sections with no objections. But the final mile is subject to the discussion that will be happening soon.”
The Selangor Town and Country Planning Department has been tasked with engaging with affected residents.
The Selangor Government has granted approval for DASH and the proposed alignment has been inserted in the Petaling Jaya Local Plan 2 (RTPJ 2).
The final stretch of the alignment has been drawn in dotted lines, indicating it is still being negotiated.
