KUALA LUMPUR:
IJM Corporation Bhd has confirmed that it has submitted a proposal to acquire Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) highway assets.

Group CEO and managing director Lee Chun Fai said the company was invited to participate in the request for proposal (RFP).

“We were invited and we participated in the RFP, but there’s no decision yet. I think they are doing the evaluation at the moment,” he told reporters after the group’s annual general meeting today.

Lee declined to provide further details.

PNB is reportedly exploring the disposal of its toll road portfolio under Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), which owns the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) and Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH), as well as its 51% stake in Prolintas Infra Business Trust.

In July, IJM and AFA Prime Bhd were reportedly among the parties interested in PNB’s highway assets.
