PETALING JAYA: There will be no scheduled water cuts for multiple areas in Selangor as maintenance works at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant have been postponed to a later date.
A notice on the scheduled water cuts had appeared on the Air Selangor application three days ago, with an appendix highlighting hundreds of areas that would have been affected.
The works were slated for May 14 to 16, affecting the Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor districts of Selangor and parts of Kuala Lumpur.
The notice was later taken down although it had started circulating on social media.
In a Facebook post today, Air Selangor said “these maintenance works will be moved to a new date that will be announced later”.
It advised users to refer to its website, phone application or social media platforms for up-to-date information on the matter.
