Former Islamic affairs minister Mujahid Yusof Rawa has arrived at the Bukit Aman federal police headquarters to give his statement to the D5 Classified Criminal Investigation Unit.

The Amanah vice-president entered the Bukit Aman compound at 5.33pm.

It is believed he had been called in to provide details about a statement he allegedly made in March questioning the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah’s powers in appointing Muhyiddin Yassin as the eighth prime minister.

Mujahid was accompanied by his lawyer.

Mujahid previously said he was unaware what the investigation on him was about and said he would provide his full cooperation.
