Speaking to FMT, Ramesh said that if Kok failed to prove her claim, he would lodge a police report against her for defamation.
Previously, Kok had claimed that Ramesh and Tan were paid by Umno to launch a smear campaign against her by lodging a report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
“This is their old case (Ramesh and Tan). Both of them were paid by Umno to harass me and DAP leaders.
“They can’t even back their claims and they lied in their report to the MACC. Even my service centre’s accounts for the general election were audited,” Kok told FMT.
“We had handed documents to the MACC to assist in their investigations and the officers themselves knew that the report by them (Ramesh and Tan) were lies. And this is not the first time they’ve lodged false reports against me to MACC.”
In the afternoon, Ramesh, along with Tan, handed over a memorandum to the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC).
The memorandum urged the commission to intervene in the ongoing MACC probe regarding an alleged corruption case involving Kok, as the duo alleged that the investigation was delayed.
