SHAH ALAM:
A newborn baby boy was found abandoned, wrapped in a plastic bag by the roadside near a mosque in Kampung Api-Api, Kuala Selangor, last night.

Kuala Selangor police chief Azaharudin Tajudin said he is believed to be less than a week old, with his umbilical cord still attached. He was found by a member of the public.

A report on the baby’s discovery was filed by Sungai Buloh Hospital at about 9.11pm. The child was a full-term baby, weighing 2.13kg, and was in stable condition. He has since been transferred to Tanjong Karang Hospital for medical check-ups.
