Decomposed body of man found wrapped in canvas in Kuala Selangor

A post-mortem showed he was strangled.

PETALING JAYA:
The decomposed body of a man wrapped in canvas was found among the rocks by the shoreline at Pulau Angsa, Jeram, Kuala Selangor, on Saturday.

Kuala Selangor police chief Azaharudin Tajudin said police received a call from an angler at about 4.50pm reporting the discovery of a suspicious-looking package, tied with a rope and emitting a foul smell, while he was fishing at the location, Bernama reported.

The body was taken to Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital’s forensic department for a post-mortem.

The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was strangulation. The victim has yet to be identified.
