Sinar Harian reported Kelantan police chief Yusoff Mamat as saying the two girls lodged the reports after seeing a TikTok video by the state police highlighting cases of rape and incest in the state.
Yusoff said the two victims lodged their reports in Tanah Merah and Kuala Krai on Tuesday.
“In the Tanah Merah case, the victim said she had been raped by her father and two uncles since last year.
“In the Kuala Krai case, the victim said she had been raped by her father since last year,” he told reporters in Kota Bharu today.
Yusoff said the two victims had lodged their reports in person, and police were now awaiting the medical reports.
He said all the suspects involved had been arrested.
Previously, Yusoff was reported as saying 252 cases of rape and incest were recorded in Kelantan last year, compared with 206 in 2023.
He said most of the victims and perpetrators were children, with the victims being as young as 10 years old and the perpetrators as young as 11. He added that some cases resulted in pregnancies.
Yusoff said there were also cases of teenage girls bringing boys home without objection from their parents.
