Form 1 boy dies after being found unconscious in Kelantan school hostel

PETALING JAYA:
A Form 1 boy found unconscious at the hostel of a secondary school in Paloh, Gua Musang, Kelantan, yesterday, was later confirmed dead due to spontaneous bleeding in the head and fluid in the lungs.

Sinar Harian reported Gua Musang police chief Sik Choon Foo as saying that police received a report on the incident from the boy’s father at 8.53am yesterday.

He said school authorities rushed the boy to the Chiku 3 health clinic, where medical personnel confirmed his death.

“An autopsy was conducted at 3.30pm at Gua Musang Hospital,” he said.

Further examination found no criminal elements, and the boy’s body was handed over to his family for burial.

Sik said the case has been classified as sudden death, and further investigations are ongoing. He also advised the public to avoid speculating on the matter.
