IPOH:
Police are on the lookout for the driver of a pickup truck who is believed to have deliberately crashed his vehicle into another car near Teluk Intan on Friday.

Hilir Perak police chief Ahmad Adnan Basri said: “We have identified the suspect, a 42-year-old man.”

He said the victim, a 30-year-old man, lodged a report at 4pm that a Ford Ranger pickup truck deliberately hit the victim’s Honda Civic twice from the front to stop the car.

“In the second collision, the Ford Ranger driver tried to alight (from his vehicle) but the victim continued to move away from the location to save himself and lodged a police report,” Adnan said in a statement today.

A 53-second video showing a four-wheel drive vehicle deliberately crashing into a car went viral on social media platforms.

Adnan said the incident is believed to be related to a police report lodged by an elderly man on Oct 22 regarding threats received in relation to a business conducted between two parties five years ago.

“The threat was made in a note sent by drone to the elderly man. It is understood that the senior citizen and the victim whose car was hit are also business associates,” he said.
