3 held on suspicion of raping teenage girl who went missing

The Form Three girl in Tawau, Sabah, had failed to return home from school last Friday, reports said.

Tawau police chief Jasmin Hussin said the victim claimed she knew her attackers.

Police have arrested two men and a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of raping a teenage girl reported missing in Tawau, Sabah, last Friday.

The girl was later found in the Jalan Tengku Osman area of Kampung Jawa at 1am yesterday, Harian Metro reported.

Tawau police chief Jasmin Hussin said the victim claimed that she had been raped by the three suspects, whom she knew.

He said the boy and two other suspects, both 29, were arrested around the district late last night and have been remanded until Sept 4 for further investigation.

Earlier, it was reported that a Form Three student from a secondary school in Tawau had been reported missing after she failed to return home last Friday.
