PETALING JAYA:
Another ATM has been installed in Nenggiri to the relief of its residents, this time near the Bertam police station.

Newly elected Nenggiri assemblyman Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani said the second ATM will benefit residents of Kampung Bertam Lama, Bertam Baru, Limau Kasturi and the surrounding areas.

“I have high hopes that this facility will be well-utilised for the community’s benefit,” he was quoted by Utusan Malaysia as saying.

“The residents will no longer need to travel to Gua Musang to withdraw money.”

Last Thursday, just two days before the by-election, the residents of Nenggiri received their first ATM after years of waiting. It was placed at a business premises in Kampung Jerek.

FMT reported that previously, residents in Nenggiri had to spend RM50 on a two-way trip to Gua Musang, about 50km away, or to Dabong, just to withdraw money.
