Timur Laut police chief Razlam Ab Hamid said the incident, which was caught on video and went viral, occurred at 2.50pm on Saturday following a misunderstanding between the complainant and another road user.

“(After the misunderstanding) the suspect tailed the complainant’s car and struck the window of the vehicle with his helmet. The complainant lodged a police report the same day.

“The suspect has been arrested and is under remand until Wednesday to assist in investigations,” he said in a statement.

Razlam added that the case is being probed under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.
