PETALING JAYA:
The investigation paper into a case involving a former senior cop and his wife has been referred to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), says Kuala Lumpur police chief Azmi Abu Kassim.

According to Bernama, Azmi said the relevant deputy public prosecutors needed some time to go through the probe paper and that the cops were waiting for their response.

He was asked by reporters for an update on the investigation into a squabble that the former policeman had with his wife, which had been recorded by the latter and went viral on social media.

While Azmi did not mention the identity of the former policeman, he is believed to be referring to former inspector-general of police (IGP) Musa Hassan.

On Tuesday, Musa had asked the public to stay out of his private affairs after video clips of a squabble between a man and a woman went viral.

Commenting on video clips of a man resembling Musa in an altercation with a woman, the former top cop warned that those who made speculations on the matter would face legal action.

Musa was IGP from 2006 to 2010.
