Water supply fully restored in Klang Valley

Air Selangor says it's back to normal at all 472 affected areas from 8am.

The unscheduled water supply disruption was due to the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Water supply in all the 472 areas affected by the unscheduled disruption in the Klang Valley, due to the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants, was fully restored at 8am today.

Yesterday, consumers in these areas experienced unscheduled water supply disruption following the temporary suspension of the plants due to odour pollution detected at the Jenderam Hilir raw water pump station intake.

It involved 172 areas in Petaling, 54 in Hulu Langat, 196 in Sepang, 23 in Putrajaya and 27 in Kuala Langat.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) corporate communications head Elina Baseri advised consumers to obtain information on water supply disruption through Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the website www.airselangor.com.

“Any queries and complaints can also be submitted at the Air Selangor call centre at 15300 or the help centre on the Air Selangor application,” she said.
