PETALING JAYA:
A noisy night out for 25 motorheads from car clubs turned sour after police impounded their vehicles for disturbing the peace and illegally modifying them.

The cars were parked next to Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur with the drivers incessantly revving their souped-up cars, creating a racket shortly after midnight early this morning.

However, their fun night out ended after they were caught at roadblocks mounted by the city police at about 2am, Sinar Harian reported.

The drivers were then ordered to drive in a convoy to the city police’s traffic section at Jalan Tun HS Lee for their vehicles to be impounded.

Police issuing summonses to motorcyclists for various offences.

The 25 drivers were also issued tickets for illegally modifying the exhaust pipes of their cars.

Separately, 44 motorcyclists were also issued summonses for various traffic offences at multiple roadblocks in the city last night.
