The group recently provided food to some 300 families at a low-income residential area called One Flats in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. They have created a Facebook page called “Kita Kawan Sama Kapal” to get more people to join them.
One of the drivers, Sabastian Silver Rajoo, who is based in Johor Bahru, said they have decided to continue their efforts by distributing lunchboxes in that city.
“After distributing food in Klang, we have decided to do the same in Johor Bahru to help the homeless around Merlin Tower on Aug 31,” he told FMT.

The former Changi airport security officer said there were many homeless people in the vicinity of Merlin Tower and hoped the food would bring them joy on Merdeka Day.
“With the funds that we have collected, we are planning on feeding 50 to 100 people on that day around noon,” he said.
Sabastian said many were struggling to feed their families after losing their incomes due to the pandemic and were welcome to show up for the free food.
“This will not be a one-time effort. Hopefully, we can get more e-hailing drivers to be a part of the team so we can help more people in need,” he said.
He welcomed public contributions, saying they were transparent with their accounts.
