BATU PAHAT: Police have summoned 15 people including Batu Pahat MP Mohd Rashid Hasnon to help in investigations over a viral video on a group of people who allegedly flouted movement restriction rules at a durian orchard here last Sunday.
Batu Pahat police chief Ismail Dollah said Rashid, who is deputy speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, turned up to give his statement at the district police headquarters at 3pm on Thursday.
“The police have completed recording the statements of all 15 individuals and will complete the investigation before referring the case to the deputy public prosecutor’s office,” said Ismail.
A 13-second video clip made its rounds on social media recently showing a group of people including Rashid at a durian orchard.
