In a statement today, senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the health ministry had reported a decrease in Covid-19 cases in the locality.
He added that of the 6,875 residents screened from seven of the blocks in the Sibu Jaya flats, 390 tested positive.
“The health ministry says the cases are under control and there are no new samples awaiting results,” Ismail said.
Meanwhile, 451 people were arrested with 393 issued compounds and 58 remanded for MCO-related offences.
Ismail added that most of the offences were linked to the registration of customers, patronising nightclubs and pubs, and failing to observe social distancing.
The authorities also detained 24 undocumented migrants and confiscated six vehicles as part of the ongoing Op Benteng campaign.
Ismail also said between July 24 and March 9, some 141,077 people who arrived through KLIA had been screened for Covid-19 and placed under quarantine.
About 1,001 tested positive while 132,776 have been allowed to return home.
Another 7,300 people are currently undergoing mandatory quarantine.
