
Ismail said 225 of them were issued compounds and six were remanded.
Among the offences were participating in activities at entertainment centres (63), failure to wear face masks (71) and failing to provide materials for contact tracing or registration (80), flouting physical distancing rules (13) and others (four).
A total of 2,574 compliance task force teams were deployed to conduct checks on supermarkets, restaurants, hawker stalls, factories and banks, among others.

He added that 94,126 people had arrived through KLIA from July 24 to Dec 29 from various countries.
A total of 540 people were sent to hospital for treatment, while 86,839 were allowed to return home and 6,747 people are currently undergoing mandatory quarantine.
