KUALA LUMPUR:
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mujahid Yusof Rawa today said a non-profit university would be set up by the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) to help the needy.

He said the new institution would take into consideration the courses and infrastructure offered by Baitumal Professional Institute and Pusrawi International College of Medical Sciences.

“We need to go to a higher level, like establishing a university but we first need to reinforce whatever we have,” he said at the monthly MAIWP assembly here today.

Mujahid also said the non-profit university would focus on the underprivileged because they too, deserved a world-class education.
