The Tebing Tinggi assemblyman and Perak executive councillor got 890 of the 1,303 votes.

The other vacancy for the vice-chairman’s post was filled by Sungkai assemblyman A Sivanesan.

Teluk Intan MP Nga Kor Ming had no problems defending the chairman’s post while Batu Gajah MP V Sivakumar was voted in as deputy chairman.
