In the incident on Sunday night, the victim who was in his 30s was stabbed by a group of men and run over by a BMW.
The victim had been inflating the tyres of his Volkswagen at the petrol station. He was accompanied by a woman in her 20s, who is believed to be his wife.
He had resisted when the suspects tried to pull him into their car, leading to a scuffle during which they were believed to have stabbed him.
The woman fled and sought help from members of the public.
The suspects however returned to their car and knocked the victim down. They then reversed and ran him over before driving off.
A video clip of the murder has since gone viral on social media.
