Sungai Buloh is the site of Malaysia’s largest prison complex, and also where PKR de facto leader and Wan Azizah’s husband Anwar Ibrahim is serving a five-year sentence for sodomy.
A printed message on the cut-out read: “Tq PM for providing this MRT service from Kajang to Sungai Buloh. It is now easier for Kak Wan (Wan Azizah) to visit her husband in Sungai Buloh.”

Following the launch of the second and final phase of the Kajang-Sungai Buloh MRT line on Monday, Anwar’s eldest child Nurul Izzah Anwar had posted an online message thanking Prime Minister Najib Razak for shortening the journey for her to visit her father in the Sungai Buloh prison.
Nurul was believed to have responded in jest to Najib’s tweet a day before, which said: “Beginning tomorrow, the journey to visit family members or friends in Sungai Buloh from Kajang will become easier and more comfortable! #JomNaikMRT.”
Jamal, the Sungai Besar Umno division chief, arrived at the Kajang MRT station at about 10.45am. He and his supporters reached the Sungai Buloh station an hour later.
