At about 9am yesterday, a policeman found the body of the 29-year-old inspector after he was instructed to look for him as the inspector had not shown up at the district police headquarters administration meeting to represent the Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief.
The victim, from Selangor, was found slumped in his office with blood under his chair. He was pronounced dead by a doctor from the Tengku Anis Hospital in Pasir Puteh at about 9.40am.
He had been transferred to the district police headquarters in February.
