CID officer dies after suspected fall in Shah Alam

The deceased was a senior officer from the Selangor police headquarters’ criminal investigation department.

PETALING JAYA:
A senior police officer was found dead after he was believed to have fallen from a building in Section 14, Shah Alam, early this morning.

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the deceased was a senior officer from the Selangor police headquarters’ criminal investigation department.

Shazeli said the Shah Alam police headquarters received information about the incident at 3.07am, and the man was confirmed dead at the scene.

“The case has been classified as sudden death pending the post-mortem report,” he said in a statement.

The Selangor police extended their condolences to the officer’s family, and urged the public not to speculate on the matter.
