SHAH ALAM: A “çlosed for operation” sign at a massage centre in Kota Kemuning did not deter the Selangor Immigration Department and Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) from conducting a raid on the premises yesterday.

Selangor Immigration assistant director, Jaimin Sumpit, said the outlet which had been operating for the last six months had been putting up the sign to escape getting raided.

“However, enforcement personnel pretended to leave and entered the outlet through the back door at about 4pm yesterday,” he said through a WhatsApp message here today.

“In the raid, 10 Indonesian and six Vietnamese women in their 20s and 30s, were arrested. The women were hiding in a room at the back of the premises, he said.

He said a Bangladeshi man who was put in-charge of the premises was also detained in the operation which ended at about 7.30pm.
