“He is bluffing if he says that he is a BN man. He is not,” stressed Adenan at a gathering at Kampung Bijure, Krokong here, today.
Adenan chided Nyomek for misleading residents in Serembu for allegedly telling them that he would be joining BN.
“Please don’t trick the people. Thank you but no thank you,” he said, adding that he as Sarawak BN chairman and chief minister would not accept Nyomek into BN.
He said BN could win at least 70 of the 82 seats it contested. Hence, it did not need to rope in the independents even if they won.
“We cannot accept people like that. We did last time, but not this time as long as I am Sarawak BN chairman,” he said, stressing BN only had one candidate in Serembu and that was Miro Simuh.
According to Adenan, there were three types of independents in an election.
The first type harboured hope that someone would “buy them” to pull out of the race.
The second type will stand as an independent because they had not been chosen by the party to be a candidate.
The third type was genuine, but if they won, they could not do anything for the people.
Miro is involved in a four-cornered fight with PKR, STAR and Nyomek.
Adenan reiterated his need for another five years as chief minister to continue with the state agenda that had not been realised.
Serembu is a new constituency with 9,065 voters, comprising 78% Bidayuh, 15% Chinese and the rest, Malay.
At the event, Adenan also announced an allocation of RM500,000 for upgrading of the Kampung Bijure community hall.
