Quick and easy garlic butter sauteed spinach

Three basic ingredients and mere minutes at a hot stove are all you need for a delicious and nutritious meal.

Sometimes the best and most delicious recipes are made with the simplest ingredients, such as this one for garlic butter sauteed spinach.

Spinach is an excellent leafy vegetable to have in your diet, as it contains plenty of iron and vitamins A and C. This lovely vegetable is done in a matter of seconds, so make sure you don’t overcook it.

It’s okay if there’s still some raw spinach when you remove the skillet from the heat – it will continue to cook, so timing is everything!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons melted salted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 225g baby spinach
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method

  • Heat up a skillet and add the butter.
  • Saute the garlic until aromatic, then add the spinach, salt and lemon juice. Stir to combine well.
  • As soon as the spinach leaves start to wilt, turn off the heat and transfer to a serving platter.
  • Garnish with some fresh lemon wedges and serve immediately.
