Here’s an easy recipe for bean sprouts with tofu, a refreshing vegetarian dish that goes well with practically anything. Serve it with rice or noodles for a quick and nutritious meal.
Ingredients
- 225g bean sprouts
- 1 piece firm tofu, cut into pieces cooking oil
- 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 stalk spring onion, cut into 5cm lengths

Instructions
- Rinse the bean sprouts with cold water, drain and set aside. Remove the roots if you wish.
- Heat up a wok and add some cooking oil. When the oil is hot, pan-fry the tofu until light brown on the surface. Transfer to a dish lined with paper towels.
- Leave about one tablespoon of oil in the wok, then stir-fry the garlic until aromatic.
- Return the tofu to the wok and do a few quick stirs before adding the bean sprouts.
- Add the soy sauce and spring onions and do a few more quick stirs. Dish out and serve immediately.
