Well, if you have cash to burn and loved ones to join you, Kay’s Steak & Lobster is one place you will find comfort, excellent service and good food all in the same spot.
Established in 2014, the restaurant has three outlets spread across the Klang Valley, namely in Putra Heights, Ampang and Putrajaya.
Kay’s halal-certified menu is filled with options that will tickle your fancy.
All three outlets are impressive, but as the first and main outlet, the one at Putra Heights cuts no corners in terms of presentation. It’s well-lit and has a pleasant atmosphere.

As soon as you walk through the door, you will be cheerfully greeted by the staff and whisked off to your table. At Kay’s, the customer is truly king.
Can’t decide on what to eat? FMT Lifestyle has sampled some of Kay’s best offerings and here are a few top favourites.
Top of the list is the Lobster Thermidor. Atlantic lobster is regularly flown in to Kay’s from overseas so you can feast on flesh that is fresh and has a hint of natural sweetness.

Just as delicious is the golden oven-baked cheese crust over the lobster, featuring a mix of mozzarella and cheddar with a dash of paprika. So crack away at the shell to have a go at the good stuff.
Special mention should go to the loaded mashed potato, which comes as a side to the lobster. It is delightfully creamy and silky.
Not a fan of seafood? Then try Kay’s signature Wagyu Tomahawk. Cooked to your preferred doneness, this beef steak comes served with a hearty helping of loaded mashed potato, garlic bread and a chef’s salad.
The sides are nice, but it is the meat itself that is the true prize, dripping with juice and warm to the touch. Biting into the flesh, you’ll be struck by the harmony of savoury, rich and succulent flavours.
If you would like a little spice in your meat, try it with the restaurant’s beloved chimichurri sauce. You won’t regret it.

The Signature Beef Wellington is quite the beauty, with a baked outer layer of puff pastry wrapped around the meaty heart of beef tenderloin.
The tenderloin is just ever so slightly seared on the outside, with pure succulence and abundant juice within. Outside, the pastry is delightfully buttery and flaky, with a crispy and salty crust.
If you are not one for red meat, there are some poultry options to look into, with the Chicken Parmigiana being a good choice for any occasion.
The generous portion of chicken breast is breaded with Japanese panko breadcrumbs and topped with a layer of Napoli sauce and melted cheddar cheese.

On its own, the chicken is an explosion of flavours. But if you wish to add one more flavour to the mix, try dipping it into the accompanying creamy mushroom sauce.
Kay’s offerings come with quite the price tag, but the sheer quality of the food more than makes up for the expense.
The next time you feel like splurging a little on good food and great service, Kay’s is most certainly the place to be.
