Eat out: Colour thosai’s the healthier choice at Bala’s

Incorporating either pureed beetroot, carrot, mango or pineapple the 'colour thosai' at Bala's Banana Leaf Restaurant in Bangsar is a hit with customers.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Thosai is a type of thin South Indian pancake made from fermented lentils and rice blended with water, and typically served with chutney and sambar.

However, the chef at Bala’s Banana Leaf Restaurant in Bangsar has added his own creative touch by incorporating pureed beetroot, carrot, mango and pineapple to the traditional thosai mix.

Needless to say, it is delicious to eat besides being healthier and a feast for the eyes.
