Homeless man found dead in front of restaurant in Bangsar

Victim may have been pushed by another man, according to CCTV footage.

PETALING JAYA:
A man, believed to be homeless, was found dead on the five-foot way of a restaurant on Jalan Ara Kiri at Taman Lucky, Bangsar, today.

Faizal Basirudin, a passer-by in his 40s, said he saw the body on his way to breakfast with his wife at about 7.15am.

“I had just parked my car near the restaurant when I saw a man lying on the ground. There were flies on his face.

“I was not sure at the time whether he was dead or alive,” Kosmo reported him as saying.

The man is believed to have died after being pushed by another man, based on CCTV footage.

Brickfields police chief Hoo Chang Hook confirmed that an investigation paper has been opened under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
