<p>KUALA LUMPUR: During Ramadan, Masjid India Kuala Lumpur continues its <a href="https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2024/03/26/masjid-india-keeps-ramadan-bubur-lambuk-tradition-alive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="color: #ff0000;">annual tradition</span></a> of giving out bubur lambuk for free &#8211; a practice that dates back to the 1970s.</p>
<p>Daily, the mosque distributes at least 1,000 packets of porridge, and prepares a minimum of 750 bowls for those who would like to break their fast onsite.</p>
<p>Despite soaring food prices in recent days, the generosity of donors enables this tradition to continue, reflecting a spirit of giving that is as heartwarming as the porridge.</p>
