<p>Choon Kee Tuckshop, a yong tau foo restaurant in OUG, traces its humble beginnings to 1950 in Malaya. That’s when Siow Kim Choon arrived from China and started making and selling yong tau foo from a tricycle in the Pudu area.</p>
<p>After a few years, having saved enough, he bought a shop in the same area. Today, more than 70 years later, Best Bean Food supplies yong tau foo to restaurants, stalls, and schools in the Klang Valley.</p>
<p>Kim Choon passed away in 2011, and today, the yong tau foo-making business is helmed by three of his sons while another, Ray Siow, manages Choon Kee Tuckshop.</p>
<p>The FMT team recently visited the premises of Best Bean Food in Pudu to see first-hand how yong tau foo is made.</p>
