
PETALING JAYA: Three people were killed after a man allegedly opened fire in front of a restaurant in Kota Jaya, Johor, this afternoon.
State police chief Ab Rahaman Arsad confirmed the incident and said that officers also seized a pistol believed to have been used in the shooting, Kosmo reported.
“Investigations are ongoing. We will issue a statement soon,” he was quoted as saying.
The Malay daily reported that the incident, which occurred at about 1.40pm, claimed the lives of two men and a woman. Their identities have yet to be established.
It is understood that police have arrested a male suspect who was attempting to flee the scene after the shooting.
