Teen motorcyclist found dead after going missing during holiday trip

His parents and four of their children had gone by car to Cameron Highlands, while Ahmad Azreeq Zafreen Ahmad Azhar, 19, rode his motorcycle.

A teenage motorcyclist reported missing while on a holiday trip to Cameron Highliands has been found dead near Besut.

Ahmad Azreeq Zafreen Ahmad Azhar, 19, had been reported missing since Friday after he was last seen at a Petron station in Beting Lintang.

His body was found in Beting Lintang, near Besut, believed to be the result of a fall, his aunt, Noriza Awang, 50, told Utusan Malaysia.

Azreeq’s body was found in bushes by the roadside at abotu 6.40pm in Kampung Bukit Jeruk near Kampung Beting Lintang, Besut police chief Rozaime Ab Rahim told Bernama. “He is believed to have died that night after his family failed to contact him in the early hours of Friday after his Yamaha R15 motorcycle skidded.”

Norliza said her sister, Zaleha Awang, husband Ahmad Azhar Mohamad Yusof, 59, and their five children had wanted to go on holiday to Cameron Highlands for the long weekend. The couple and four children went by car while Azreeq rode his motorcycle.
