A total of 23 parties took part in the polls, including Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Barisan Nasional (BN), Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Warisan.

Other parties that contested included Perikatan Nasional (PN), Upko, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) and the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP).

• UNOFFICIAL – GRS’s Ben Chong wins in Tanjong Kapor in a 11-cornered fight, defeating Vernon Bahanda among others. He won this seat in 2020 on a Warisan ticket.

• UNOFFICIAL – Jamal Nerubi, who is BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s aide, loses the race for the Kawang seat to GRS’s Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar. In 2020, Ghulam won the seat on a PN ticket.
• UNOFFICIAL – GRS has won in Pitas, Tempasuk, Kundasang, Kuala Penyu, Lumadan, Karanaan, Tandek and Telupid.
• UNOFFICIAL – Now, independent candidate Fairuz Renddan is said to have defeated GRS’s Pandikar Amin Mulia in Pintasan. In 2020, Fairuz had also defeated Pandikar to win the seat. Fairuz is the former Gagasan Rakyat Youth chief.

• UNOFFICIAL – PH’s Yamani Hafez Musa, son of Sabah governor Musa Aman, wins in Sindumin in a 10-cornered fight. In 2020, Warisan won this seat.
• UNOFFICIAL – PH’s Jamawi Jaafar defeats KDM acting president Priscella Peter in the battle for the Melalap seat. In 2020, Priscella father, KDM founding president Peter Anthony, won the seat on a Warisan ticket.

• Warisan leads in Karamunting with around 3,900 votes.
• DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook has accepted responsibility for the party’s dismal performance in the Sabah polls, confirming that it lost all six seats it won in 2020. Loke said he respected the decision of voters but pointed out that DAP still has two Sabah representatives in Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin and Sandakan MP Vivian Wong.

• UNOFFICIAL – Independent candidate Rina Jainal has won the Kukusan seat. In 2020, Rina won the seat on a Warisan ticket before joining GRS component PHRS.
• UNOFFICIAL – Independent candidate Awang Ahmad Sah Sahari has won the Petagas seat, defeating his brother Awang Husaini Sahari of PH. In 2020, Awang Ahmad won the seat on a Warisan ticket before backing GRS.
• GRS leads in Darau with around 6,550 votes.
• GRS’s Shah Alfie Yahya, the younger brother of Shahelmey Yahya, leads in the battle for Tanjung Keramat against BN with almost 3,000 votes. In 2020, Shahelmey won this seat on a BN ticket.
• PN’s Aliakbar Gulasan, the Sabah PAS chief, leads in Karambunai with over 2,000 votes. In 2020, BN won the seat.
• UNOFFICIAL – GRS’s Isnin Aliasnih wins in Klias. He won the seat in 2020 on a PN ticket.
