PETALING JAYA:
Heavy rain has caused another slope in Seputeh to collapse, this time along Lorong Jugra Dalam, at about 4pm, about 4km from the first landslide at Taman United this morning.

Bernama reported that a 10m-high slope next to Block D of the Sri Lempah flats had collapsed, damaging a parked car, with firefighters from the Sri Petaling fire and rescue station monitoring the situation.

Earlier, residents from about 104 units from two apartment blocks in Taman United, Seputeh, were ordered to evacuate after soil movement following a landslide on a nearby slope this morning.

Seputeh fire and rescue station chief Armdan Mahat said the incident affected two cars and several motorcycles, with one vehicle buried. No casualties were reported.

The Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue operations centre later said three reports of fallen trees had come in since yesterday due to continuous heavy rain in Brickfields, Taman U Thant and Desa Kiaramas.

Besides the Seputeh landslides, two others were reported in Jalan Maarof, Bangsar at 11.20am today, and on Jalan Medang Tanduk in Bukit Bandaraya at 3.24pm.
