
PETALING JAYA: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah chairman Hajiji Noor faces four challengers as he seeks to defend the Sulaman seat for a ninth term in the 17th Sabah state election.
The caretaker chief minister and Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah president has represented Sulaman for eight terms now, and won the seat with a 3,099-vote majority in the 2020 state polls.
According to the Election Commission, the other candidates in the running are Siti Aminah Ele (Perikatan Nasional), Dr Shahnon Rizal Thaijudin (Barisan Nasional), Pajudin Nordin (Parti Impian Sabah) and Mokhtar Hussin (Warisan).
Sulaman has a total of 18,352 registered voters as of this year.
