3 held over Klang petrol station shooting

A man is believed to have fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim, who was seated inside.

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said police are investigating the case from all angles, not just whether it is linked to a secret society.

Police have arrested three people over a shooting at a petrol station in Bukit Tinggi, Klang, last Friday which killed a man seated in a car.

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the suspects, aged between 19 and 35, were arrested around Klang and have been remanded until Nov 17.

Shazeli told a press conference here today police are investigating the case from all angles and not focusing solely on whether it is linked to a secret society.

“We need to examine numerous aspects based on the victim’s background,” he said, declining to elaborate because of the sensitivity of the case.

Shazeli had previously said that in the incident, which occurred at about 11pm, an individual had fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim, who was seated inside.

He also said the 34-year-old victim was a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 with a record for several criminal offences.
