Man fatally shot at Klang petrol station wanted under Sosma

The victim of the fatal shooting at a petrol station in the Bukit Tinggi area in Klang last Friday has been identified as a wanted individual under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the 34-year-old local man also had a criminal record of several offences.

He said investigations were focusing on various angles, taking into account the victim’s background, with seven statements recorded so far from the victim’s wife, family members and witnesses.

“The investigation is still ongoing. The post-mortem has been completed, and the cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen.

“The body has been released to the family for burial,” he said at a press conference.

In the incident, which occurred at around 11pm last Friday, a suspect reportedly fired several shots at the front of a car, fatally striking the victim who was seated inside.
