Penang cops seek Ong Wei Hao in body-in-suitcase probe

Police are looking for 41-year-old Ong Wei Hao to assist in investigations into the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in Butterworth, Penang, on Oct 9.

Seberang Perai Utara police chief Anuar Abd Rahman said Ong’s last known address was at unit A-7-07, Villa Tanjung Condominium, Jalan Villa Tanjung, Butterworth.

In a statement, he urged members of the public with information on the murder case to contact the nearest police station or investigating officer Norhaslina Rahmat at 04-5762222.

The body of insurance agent Lee Boon Han, 31, was found in a suitcase near a block of flats on Jalan Permatang Pauh, Butterworth, on Oct 9.

The victim had slash marks on his neck. His hands were bound and his head was covered in plastic.

He was reported missing on Oct 8 after presumably going to Perlis on a work trip.

Police have since arrested two men and two women, aged 24 to 32, to assist in investigations. They are under remand until tomorrow.
