BUKIT MERTAJAM: A man has been remanded for seven days after his wife and daughter were found dead in a house in Juru here last night.
Penang police chief Azizee Ismail said the remand order was obtained to facilitate an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The man reported that he found the bodies of his wife and daughter, aged 51 and 11, when he returned home at about 7.30pm.
It is understood that the woman’s body was found in the ground-floor kitchen while her daughter’s body was found upstairs.
The bodies were taken to Seberang Jaya Hospital for a post-mortem.
