
PETALING JAYA: Kedah police have obtained a six-day remand order for a man to assist in an investigation into a double murder in Guar Chempedak on Thursday.
Yan district police chief Hamizi Abdullah said the 29-year-old suspect was arrested in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, at 9.45am yesterday, Bernama reported.
The investigation is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
It was reported that a woman and her fiance were found stabbed to death at Taman Nona in Guar Chempedak at about 9.40am on Thursday night.
The man, a mobile phone dealer, aged 30, was found lying face down on the road in front of a house, while the woman, 28, was found in a car.
Bernama said they were believed to have been attacked by an individual who was related to the woman.
