
PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a man for shooting his gun into the air as prayers were being held at a temple in Kuala Selangor on Sunday.
Kuala Selangor police chief Azaharudin Tajudin said a report was lodged at about 3.50pm on Sept 1 after the video of the incident went viral.
The 11.30am incident occurred at the Ladang Bukit Badong temple in Bestari Jaya.
“The suspect fired several shots into the air while prayers were being conducted at the temple.
“The suspect was nabbed in Petaling Jaya yesterday at 8pm,” he said in a statement.
Azaharudin said the suspect has been remanded for three days, starting from today.
The case is being investigated for the unauthorised discharge of a firearm.
