Fifth RXZ rally-goer killed while riding home in convoy

A restaurant worker died while returning to Segamat, Johor, after taking part in the RXZ Members rally for motorcycle enthusiasts in Terengganu.

Irfan Izzuddin Ahzli, 20, died of severe head and body injuries when his motorcycle skidded into the right lane of the East Coast Expressway near the Paka rest area at about 1.22pm, Sinar Harian reported.

He was the fifth person to have died either on the way to the RXZ Members rally or while returning from the event, attended by about 100,000 people at the Gong Badak motorsports circuit in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu.

He was riding his Yamaha LC motorcycle in a convoy with several friends who were returning to Johor and was thrown to the road when his machine skidded.

Dungun police chief Maizura Abdul Kadir confirmed that a report was lodged about the incident.
