Putrajaya police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said the body was discovered by members of the public at 7.50am.

“A witness, who was passing by the area, jumped into the lake and brought the body to the bank,” he said in a statement.

He said an initial investigation found no criminal elements and the case has been classified as sudden death.

“The body was sent to the Putrajaya Hospital for a post-mortem,” he added.
