PETALING JAYA: Police have opened an investigation paper into singer Shila Amzah’s claim that she was attacked by a senior artiste during a concert rehearsal at the Merdeka Stadium in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Usuf Jan Mohamad said a report about the alleged incident was received at about 5.30pm yesterday.
Statements have been taken from two people, and the police will call up the alleged attacker for questioning, he said in a statement this evening. The case is being investigated for criminal intimidation.
Shila, whose full name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, claimed on Instagram that she was openly attacked in front of crew members during the rehearsal for a concert being held tonight.
Several veteran and popular artistes have been lined up for the concert.
