
Anwar said Malaysia and Cambodia’s close cooperation must continue to be strengthened for the sake of welfare and benefit of both nations.
“We discussed ways to further strengthen the longstanding partnership between our two nations, with a focus on delivering mutual benefits and shared prosperity.
“Our discussions covered investment and trade, the halal industry, Islamic banking, cybersecurity, energy, defence, tourism, agriculture, as well as education,” he said in a Facebook post.
Anwar added that the close ties shared between both countries were a manifestation of their commitment to playing an active role in shaping a peaceful, stable and prosperous region.
The two-day Asean Summit, which began today, serves as the main platform for regional leaders to review progress in three main areas: political-security, economic, and socio-cultural.
